Materialities in Archives. Presentation at ISA Forum of Sociology, Rabat (Morocco)
From July 6–11, 2025, Dr. Izabela Kujawa participated in the international conference 5th ISA Forum of Sociology, held at Mohammed V University in Rabat. The event brought together nearly 5,000 researchers from 112 countries, centered around the theme of justice in the Anthropocene.
Dr. Kujawa presented a paper titled “Objects in Motion: Rethinking Archives and Memory-making Practices through the Trajectories of Protest Artifacts” as part of a double panel dedicated to critical reflection on the production of historical narratives and the role of archives. In her presentation, she focused on the significance of material objects in archival practices and in the creation of activist protest networks. Her participation in the conference also provided an opportunity to attend numerous other presentations on topics such as social movements and activism in the pursuit of social justice.
